Broomhill Infant School

Enjoying learning together

BROOMHILL Infant School aims to provide a happy, supportive and secure environment for the children to enjoy their early school years.

The children are encouraged to gain confidence, become independent and achieve high standards in all aspects of school life through a varied curriculum whilst enjoying the benefits of the wildlife garden, the spacious playground and comprehensive ICT facilities.

The school curriculum is enhanced by the diversity of the school population and the children particularly enjoy the multicultural opportunities that this presents.

The 2003 Ofsted report recognised the high educational standards and the effective management resulting from the hard work of staff, with the support of governors and close partnership with parents.  A copy is available in school.

The ‘Friends of Broomhill’, an active group of parents, raise funds for the school fund.  In recent years this has resulted in the purchase of foundation stage outside equipment and ICT software.

The school has linked status with Nether Green Junior School which consistently achieves high standards and has been awarded Beacon School status.
